Meet Your Community Copilot

The help assistant — the chat you open from the help button — has learned some new tricks. Inside communities with beta features enabled, it becomes a community copilot: it can look things up in your community and prepare drafts of new content for you.

What the copilot can do

Everywhere, for every member:

  • Answer questions about how the platform works, backed by the help articles. You'll see "Searching help articles…" while it looks things up, and the sources it used under each answer.

Inside a community with beta features (Pro and Unlimited plans), when you're a member:

  • Look things up — ask "what events do we have coming up?" or "who are the moderators here?" and it reads your community's content to answer. It only sees what you can see: your permissions apply to every lookup.
  • Draft content — ask it to "write a post inviting people to Saturday's cleanup" and it prepares a draft card: a preview of exactly what would be created.

Drafts: you're always in charge

The copilot never publishes anything by itself. When it drafts a post, discussion, event, place or announcement, you get a card showing the title and content with two buttons:

  • Create — publishes the draft as you, exactly as if you had filled in the form yourself. Your permissions and your community's plan limits apply as usual.
  • Discard — throws the draft away. Nothing is created.

After you create something from a draft, the card links straight to it so you can view or edit it.

Where to find it

Open the help panel from the question mark button (bottom navigation on mobile, floating button on desktop). If you're on a community page of a beta-enabled community you belong to, the copilot automatically knows that community's context — no setup needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't the copilot see my community? Community features require the community to have beta features enabled (part of the Pro and Unlimited plans) and you need to be a member. Outside of that, the assistant still answers product questions for everyone.

Does content created with the copilot look different? No. A post you confirmed is your post — there's no AI label. You reviewed it and chose to publish it, just like using spellcheck.

Can the copilot delete or change existing content? No. It can only read community content and prepare drafts of new content for your review.

Is there a usage limit? There's a generous daily allowance per person. If you ever hit it, the assistant will let you know and it resets at midnight (UTC).
